The CIVA Strategic Planning Group (SPG) has proposed a new "Free Known" sequence for all categories, and the decision as to whether to adopt this new format will be put to the vote at the CIVA Plenary meeting in October 2015.
The plan is that it will replace the Known Programme-1 and Free Programme-2 with one sequence that will take the best elements of both programmes. Pilots will create their 10-figure Free Known sequence from five mandatory figures proposed by NAC's each year and selected by vote at plenary, plus five "Free" figures under new regulations similar to existing Free figure requirements.
If adopted then it follows that there will be one additional Free Unknown sequence to follow, i.e. three F/U's for power, one Unknown plus three F/U's for gliders.
