The Strategic Planning Group has plenary approval to present a new "Free Known" sequence format for adoption by all categories. The aim is to replace the existing Known Programme-1 and Free Programme-2 sequences with a single sequence that combines the best elements of both programmes.
For this new Free Known programme pilots will create their own sequence using five mandatory figures proposed by NAC's each year and selected by vote at plenary, plus five "Free" figures controlled by new regulations that will closely follow existing Free figure requirements. When adopted there will be one additional Free Unknown sequence to follow, i.e. three Free Unknowns for power, or one Unknown plus three Free Unknowns for gliders.
What is your view of this radical new approach to the sequences at World and Continental Championships?
