At the combined Unlimited and Advanced glider aerobatic championship event at Zbraslavice in the Czech Republic both categories flew an almost complete series of five programmes, Ferenc Toth taking the Unlimited crown for Hungary by less than a half-percent from Italy's Luca Bertossio while at the Advanced local Czech man Miroslav Černý took the top position ahead of Slawomir Talowski of Poland. French pilot Jean-Max Vautier is the new European Advanced Aerobatic Champion, scoring a superb 75.442% in the EAAC 2015 at Deva in Romania. Local man Laszlo Ferencz secured second place with 74.979% for Romania, and Benoit Faict of France was third with 73.586%. The third and final bulletin preparing for the World Aerobatic Championships at Chateuroux in August has now been published. Pilots should note that the "Low" altitude is officially increased by 20m to 120 metres due to a Boeing 747 that is parked below the centre of the box, and naturally the disqualification height is also raised for this event to 70 metres. We also hear that scheduled training slots will be on the website very soon.

This regulatory document for the 2015 World Air Games in Dubai is now published as a pdf and can be downloaded from the CIVA Document Store. For power pilots we have reverted to the 'normal' four programme Known, Free, Free-Unknown and Freestyle setup for 2015, while for the glider pilots the four programmes are the normal Free, an Unknown, and then two new format Freestyle programmes with all-new marking criteria.

The EAAC 2015 International Jury has now provided the names of the two Warm-Up pilots who will start each session during the 9th European Advanced Aerobatic Championship at Deva airfield in Romania. These are Jurgis Kairis, flying an Su-26 or 31, and Tamás Ábrányi, who will fly his Sbach.
